SHELVING UNIT Seeking to pare down the structure of a bookcase to the absolute minimum, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni decided to mount four shelves in two wires and fix them in a single point on the wall. Originally conceived in 1957, the design was perfected over the years until presented to the public in 1966. 50 years on, Libreria Pensile is still relevant, elegant, and very Castiglioni.
